Microwave Recall: Massive recall issued - 35 Kitchen Fires! Over 93,000 GE, GE Profile & Kenmore microwave ovens have been recalled, as General Electric admits the appliance poses a fire hazard in the kitchen. Site has a microwave oven recall list that includes model and serial numbers.
GE recalls 92,000 microwave ovens The recall includes built-in units sold under the GE, GE Profile and Kenmore brands. The appliances were manufactured in the U.S. GE said the door switch in the microwave oven can overheat and should stop being used immediately. The lower oven, however, can still be used.
Major recall of GE and GE OEM Dishwashers Stop using the appliances immediately, a federal agency warned. Products include GE, Profile, Monogram, Hotpoint, Eterna and Sears Kenmore brand dishwashers made from September 1997 through December, 2001.
